Step 1 · The commitment

Hi. So you're thinking about this.

Take your time with these questions — slowing down is what this whole week is about, so think of this as your first step into it. There are no right answers. An honest, messy, real response tells us far more than a polished one. Your answers go to the partner organisation in your country, who'll choose who joins. A spot isn't guaranteed, but we read every answer with care.

Before we start — two things to confirm:

📵 I'll join the phone ritual on Day 1 and stay phone-free until the last workshop day. Halfway through Day 1 we put phones in a box together. They come back on the last workshop day. Emergencies are handled through the group leaders. I'm fully aware of this.
🧘 I'll actively participate in the program. Including meditation, group reflections and physical activities. I'm here to show up, not to opt out.

Step 2 · Who are you

What name do we use?

First and last names like on your passport.

Step 3 · The practicals

How can we reach you?

All practical info in one place. Takes a minute.

Step 4 · A quick check-in

Right now, without looking anything up — what are three sounds you can hear around you?

Just notice. The fridge, a bird, traffic, your own breath. Write what you actually hear.

Step 5 · The phone thing

If you had no phone for a week — what's the first thing you'd miss, and what might you secretly enjoy?

Be honest. We've all got things we'd miss and things we'd secretly be relieved to put down for a while.

Step 6 · Your moment

What's going on in your life right now that makes a week like this feel like good timing?

It doesn't have to be dramatic. Sometimes "I just need to slow down" is the real answer.

Step 7 · What you bring

This week is built with you, not just for you. What's something you could bring to the group?

A few sparks, in case it helps: maybe you like being behind a camera — filming or photography for our little media team. Maybe there's something from where you're from — a dish, a song, a game or tradition — you'd share on our intercultural evening. Or something you'd enjoy guiding the group through: a short workshop, a meditation, a morning stretch, a sport or game you love. And if it's none of those, it might simply be the calm or the energy you bring to a room. It doesn't have to be big or polished — just yours.

Step 8 · A bit about you

Do you sometimes face challenges in life?

In this project, we want to give a chance to people who may have fewer opportunities. So if you've had any kind of difficulty, please feel free to tell us — it can actually help you get selected.

Some examples:

  • Mental health problems or learning difficulties
  • Not having much money or support
  • Feeling left out or being treated unfairly
  • Living far away or in a small town
  • Coming from a migrant or minority background

You don't have to write a lot — a few words is enough. What you share stays private (only the coordinator from the sending NGO and the receiving NGO will read it).

Step 9 · Last practical bits

One more practical screen and you're done.

Food we cook, someone we can reach, and a small consent at the bottom.

🚨 Emergency contact

Someone we could contact in case of emergency. Please choose someone who speaks English.

📜 GDPR consent

By submitting this form, I consent under the GDPR to the processing of my personal data (name, email and image) by the Foundation as data administrator, for the purpose of organising the project and for archiving, evaluation and statistics for up to 5 years. This consent is voluntary, and I can withdraw it at any time.

✅ I agree to the above.

That's it. You're in our hands.

Your application is on its way to the partner organisation in your country. They'll be in touch — usually within a week or two. Thanks for taking the time. We hope to see you on the hill.

— with care, the team 🌿
